Swarna Bharat Party is delighted that Shetkari Sangathna (one of the largest farmer organisations in India) has become the bridge between it and the former great liberal leader Sharad Joshi's Swatantra Bharat Party - whose manifesto is broadly similar to that of Swarna Bharat Party.

India's farmer suicide problem is not going away. This is a very severe issue that needs the nation to come together to think seriously about the underlying causes. Swarna Bharat Party agrees with Mr Amar Habib of Kisan Putra that anti-farmer laws that have blocked the basic freedoms of farmers are the root cause of this problem.
